“We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing” (2 Thessalonians 1:3).
Growth is a natural process in all living things , it is also one of the signs that a n organism is living , faith on the other hand is the core virtue expected of a Christian, without it we cannot access God , (Heb. 11;6 ), it is the channel of our relationship with him.
Faith is deposited in us when we first believe but we need to nurture it and grow with it if we desire a better relationship with God , ‘Like new born babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation’ (1peter 2;2).
Faith is also the foundation on which the other characters God expected of us grows (2peter 1:5) so if our faith is weak , non growing or failing , our spiritual and physical life will follow in the same pattern as Paul identified in 1 Corinthians 3:1-3.
Growing in faith required time and efforts and we will be looking at this throughout this month.
God bless you
